Free Invoice Generator for Freelancers
Create a clean, professional invoice in any currency in 60 seconds. No signup or credit card required. Built for freelancers.
A free invoice generator is a web tool that turns your details, your client's details, and your line items into a finished invoice PDF — no signup, no card, no software to install. You fill in a form. It produces the PDF. You send it to your client. You get paid. That's the entire loop.
To make one here: fill in the form below with your name and email, your client's name, what you're billing for and how much, your invoice currency, your payment details, and any tax or notes.
Hit Download and the invoice will be ready to send in seconds.
From blank form to PDF in about a minute
This online invoice generator has everything you need to send professional invoices.
First, add your sender details like your name, email, and optionally a business name and tax ID. That way your client knows who has sent the invoice.
Client details come next. Enter your client's name and other billing details.
After that, it's the invoice details like the issue date, due date, payment terms, and currency you're billing in. Not everyone works in dollars!
Next, add the line items. These are the details of what you're invoicing for. Add the description, quantity, unit, and rate. You can add up to 100 line items with this free invoice generator; empty rows are ignored. Make sure to add the tax if you're legally required to.
Finally, the most important bit: the payment details. You can add any bank in the world, a service like Wise, Payoneer, PayPal, UPI or Revolut, or a freeform note. Fill in as many as your client needs.
Hit Download and you'll have the PDF in seconds. It's the same flow on your phone.
If you bill across borders, set your home currency too
Fieldfare can invoice in any currency. You can invoice in dollars, euro, rand, rupees, dirham, or whatever else you need. It's designed to make invoicing for freelancers easy, no matter where you live.
If you're invoicing someone in a different country, set your home currency and see the equivalent amount.
Why Fieldfare and not Wave, Word, or QuickBooks
Wave's free generator covers the basics fine if you're a US or Canadian freelancer billing in USD or CAD. It doesn't help much if you bill across borders — there's no FX-aware total. Word and Google Docs templates are manual: numbers updated by hand, FX eyeballed, totals wrong half the time. QuickBooks handles FX but charges $90/month and is built for businesses with employees and accountants — overkill for a solo freelancer. This is a free, freelancer-built tool that handles the cross-border cases the others ignore.

Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
Yes, Fieldfare online invoicing is free. No card, no signup, no email required. Sign up for a free Fieldfare account to send 10 invoices a month, track expenses, and see how FX rates affect your business.
How do I create a free invoice?
Fill in the form on this page: your details, your client's details, line items (description, quantity, unit, rate), invoice currency, and any tax or notes. Hit Download. The PDF downloads in seconds. No software to install, nothing to sign up for.
What should be on a freelance invoice?
Your name and contact info, your client's name and contact info, an invoice number, an issue date and due date, a list of what you did with quantities and rates, a total, and how you'd like to be paid. A tax ID if your jurisdiction wants one (UK VAT number, Indian GST number, EU VAT number, and so on). The form here covers all of these — leave optional fields blank if they don't apply.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Generate as many invoices as you want anonymously. The email you enter as “Your email” stays attached to the invoice — sign up for Fieldfare later with the same email and those invoices get pulled into your dashboard automatically. Nothing's lost.
Can my client pay through this invoice?
Not through the tool itself — Fieldfare doesn't process payments. The invoice carries whatever payment instructions you fill in on the form: a bank account (with country-specific fields for IBAN, sort code, IFSC, routing number, BSB), a service like Wise, Payoneer, PayPal, Revolut, Stripe Link, or UPI, or a freeform field for anything else. Your client pays the way they always would.
How does it handle foreign currencies?
You can invoice in any currency. Just select it from the dropdown. If you want to see what that converts to in your home currency, select it too. Fieldfare supports every major currency.
How long is the share link active?
30 days from creation, or 7 days past your due date — whichever is later. After that the link has a note suggesting your client get in touch for a fresh copy. Sign up free if you want the invoice to live in your dashboard permanently.
Will my client know I used a free tool?
The PDF carries a small “Sent with Fieldfare · gofieldfare.com” line in the footer.
